Dubar scores 28 as Hofstra takes down UNC Wilmington 69-58

WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Darlinstone Dubar scored 28 points as Hofstra beat UNC Wilmington 69-58 on Thursday night.

Dubar also added eight rebounds for the Pride (19-11, 12-5 Coastal Athletic Association). Jaquan Carlos scored 18 points and added six rebounds and five assists. Tyler Thomas shot 4 for 13, including 3 for 7 from beyond the arc to finish with 13 points.

Trazarien White led the way for the Seahawks (20-9, 11-6) with 13 points. UNC Wilmington also got 11 points and five assists from Shykeim Phillips. In addition, KJ Jenkins had 10 points and three steals.

Hofstra entered halftime up 32-25. Dubar paced the team in scoring in the first half with 11 points. Dubar’s 17-point second half helped Hofstra finish off the 11-point victory.

Both teams next play Saturday. Hofstra visits Charleston (SC) and UNC Wilmingtontakes on Towson at home.
